Robotics Discovery Program
Robotics Discovery Program is a seasonal outreach program designed to introduce young learners to the exciting world of robotics, coding, and computational thinking through hands-on exploration and interactive challenges. Each year includes two four-week adventures, with classes offered in September and February. Classes are held on Tuesdays from 4:15–5:30 PM, providing students with a fun and engaging environment to develop foundational robotics and coding skills.
Through age-appropriate activities, students learn to think critically, solve problems, work collaboratively, and build confidence as they complete coding challenges and robotics missions. With small class sizes and personalized instruction, Robotics Discovery Program provides an encouraging first step into robotics while inspiring creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning.
Who Can Attend
Robotics Discovery Program is open to students from all educational backgrounds, including homeschool, public school, private school, and virtual school.
The program is recommended for ages 5–9 and is designed for children who are ready to follow multi-step directions, participate in partner activities, and begin exploring foundational robotics and coding concepts in a small-group setting. While strong reading skills are not required, students will benefit from recognizing simple words and following basic written instructions as they progress through coding activities.
How It Works
Each Robotics Discovery Program adventure consists of four weekly classes that build upon one another, allowing students to develop foundational robotics and coding skills through hands-on exploration and interactive challenges. Students gain confidence week by week as they complete coding challenges, solve robotics missions, and discover new ways to think creatively and solve problems.
No previous robotics or coding experience is required—all equipment and materials are provided.

Each adventure offers new challenges and experiences, so students are welcome to participate in one or both adventures throughout the year.
This Season's Adventures
🍂 Adventure 1
Robot Quest
Dates: September 8, 15, 22 & 29, 2026
Students begin their robotics journey by learning how to communicate with and program their robot. Throughout the adventure, they'll explore foundational coding concepts, complete exciting robot missions, and build confidence through hands-on challenges and creative problem-solving.
🚀 Adventure 2
Space Race
Dates: February 2, 9, 16 & 23, 2027
Students launch into a space-themed coding adventure as they guide their robot through exciting missions. They'll collect and deliver samples, detect obstacles, race to complete challenges, and strengthen their coding and computational thinking skills along the way.
If a weather-related cancellation occurs, make-up classes will be held during the first available Tuesdays in March.
