Outreach and Team Events:
This season we had the privilege to participate in the Bolivar Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade. We were able to hand out flyers with information about Reboot Robotics and the Nuclear Space Potatoes.

We also worked hard raising funds for the Ozark Food Harvest food bank as part of a fundraising challenge for the SW League teams. Our team was able to raise $305 and we were presented an award from another SW League team for raising the most in the challenge!

Our Robot:
Meet The Masher!

Our Robot was designed this year based on the REV Robotics Starter Bot. As a rookie team this was the best option to be prepared for our first Meet. The robot went through a few revisions, mainly to reduce weight and add counterbalance to minimize stress on the motors.

Its main function was to intake samples and score them in the low basket. The claw, or gripper, allowed us to pick up samples to be made into specimens and then score them on the high bar. We wanted to achieve an end game climb but sadly never reached that goal.
Season Overview:
We participated in 4 Meets prior to attending the SW League tournament. At the Tournament we placed 9th out of 22 teams in the qualification matches. Due to our ranking we made it to the playoffs which ran as a double elimination. The nuclear space potatoes with their alliance Partner the Cashew chickens 2 (The Milk Men) ranked 4th out of the 6 alliances. Ranking us 8th out of 12 teams. Our team also was awarded the 2nd place Motivate award. This award honors teams that spark others to embrace the culture of STEM through FIRST and shows what it means to be a team!

We have had an amazing season and look forward to our 2nd season!
