Reboot Robotics Monthly Newsletter – September 2026 Edition

It has been a busy month at Reboot Robotics as our robotics teams have continued making progress on their competition robots! With each team taking their own approach to designing, building, and refining their robots, it has been exciting to watch their ideas begin to come to life as they work toward this year's challenges.
We had a great time at Bolivar Country Days and enjoyed getting out into the community and sharing our love of robotics. Our fall Robotics Discovery Program was another wonderful opportunity to introduce students to hands-on robotics and coding, and we hope to welcome even more students for our spring session. We also want to thank everyone who stopped by our Walmart storefront fundraiser this month! We truly appreciate the support and interest shown in Reboot Robotics and the time people took to stop and learn more about what we do. These community events also gave our students valuable opportunities to practice interacting with others, talking about their robots, and sharing what they are learning through our programs.
Behind the scenes, we have also been busy planning our first VEX competitions! We are excited to host both tournaments at Southwest Baptist University, with our VEX IQ tournament taking place on November 7 and our VEX V5 tournament following on January 16. Hosting our own competitions is a big step for Reboot Robotics, and we are looking forward to creating exciting opportunities for teams to compete, learn, and connect with other robotics students.
Our November VEX IQ tournament will also be held in conjunction with Bolivar STEM Day, a community STEM event we're excited to bring to Bolivar! We are working on some exciting plans to bring hands-on STEM activities and experiences to our community, with more information coming very soon. We can't wait to share more and invite families from across the area to come experience the fun of STEM with us!
As always, thank you for being part of the Reboot Robotics community and supporting our students as they learn, build, compete, and grow!
With gratitude,
Nicole Neeld

Team Highlights

The Space Taters have continued making great progress on their competition robots this month! As our roster has shifted, our team structure has also changed, and we are currently competing with two teams rather than the three teams we began the season with.
One team has completed its Hero Bot build and is now ready to begin making improvements and getting valuable game practice. Our other team is continuing to work through the details of its student-designed robot, focusing on getting the mechanisms working together so the robot can successfully score. Each team is taking a different path through the design and build process, and it has been exciting to see their problem-solving skills develop along the way.

The Nuclear Space Potatoes have continued making good progress on their competition robots this month! Part of the team has completed their Hero Bot and is now using it to begin coding, testing, and getting familiar with game play. This gives our newer members an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while preparing for the challenges ahead.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team has been busy tweaking their student-designed competition robot. The robot is now ready to move into the next stage of development with coding and testing, followed by improvements based on what they learn on the field. It is exciting to see the team moving forward and putting their different experiences to work as the season progresses!

Thank You to Our Sponsors!
We are grateful to recognize The Carriage House, LLC for their generous support of Reboot Robotics! Their investment in our organization helps us continue providing students with opportunities to build, create, problem-solve, and develop hands-on STEM skills.

Just as building something well takes the right tools, time, and attention to detail, our students are learning that successful robotics requires creativity, persistence, and teamwork. We are thankful for local businesses like The Carriage House, LLC that choose to invest in the next generation of builders, engineers, and problem-solvers.
Thank you, The Carriage House, LLC, for helping us build a stronger future for STEM education in our community!
